Jerilyn Kielle Faulkner (nee Sharpe) passed away May 13, 2017 at the Parkridge Medical Center, Chattanooga, TN.

Jerilyn was born March 17, 1977 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada to Ed and Treva Sharpe.
She was homeschooled and at completion enrolled in a lifestyle educator course in Norway, where she learned Swedish massage and hydrotherapy, along with other healing skills. In 1996 she moved with her family to Weimar Institute, Weimar, California, where she was employed in the bakery and later as a massage therapist. Also during her stay at Weimar she had the opportunity to apprentice with a midwife in Wisconsin, beginning the career of her dreams.

Jerilyn decided to add nursing to her resume and moved to Collegedale, TN to attend Southern Adventist University, graduating Cum Laude with an Associate Degree in Nursing in 2001.

She was employed by Memorial Hospital after her graduation but her heart was in labor and delivery. During this time she also got married and gave birth to her only child.

Jerilyn joined the labor and delivery team at Parkridge East in 2006, working permanent nights there until forced to take medical leave this year.

Music was a big part of Jerilyn's life, singing solos, in groups, and choir, as well as playing the piano. She loved reading, taking great interest in history, especially World War II.

Showing skill in poetry at a young age she composed many poems as well as some songs. She had many friends at work, church, and wherever she lived who will miss her greatly.

Jerilyn is survived by her husband Don, son Joshua, sister Tara Rosaasen (Matthew) of College Place, WA, parents Ed and Treva Sharpe of Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, aunts and uncles, numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made towards her son Joshua's tuition at the Ooltewah Adventist School, 9209 Amos Road, Ooltewah, TN 37363.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 4 p.m. at the Ooltewah Seventh-day Adventist Church, 9202 Amos Road in Ooltewah. There will be no visitation.
